OUR HISTORY
In 1934, with just a faithful few, this ministry came into existence. A little red church called Piney Grove Baptist was located in a pasture on the south side of Immokalee, near the railroad tracks.

However, some years later, Piney Grove Baptist was destroyed by an un-named storm. Being led by the Holy Spirit, the membership relocated to South 3rd Street, and was inspired by God to rename the church, First Baptist.

There was great controversy amongst the community regarding the name change due to the existence of another church with the same name although having a different ethnicity. God intervened with favor and our church became First Missionary Baptist Church of Immokalee.
Though the name changed, the location remained the same. First Missionary Baptist Church has been blessed with great men of God.
